June 27th 2000

After a lot of trouble I've finally decided to join my friend Valérie on a trip we have been planning for a long time. We have talked about it a lot but I've always been too involved with work or love to be able to take off, but now everything seems to have left me free and we will be leaving by the end of September or the beginning of October for a trip. I'd like to start off in Central America but haven't decided for sure yet. She is in Indonesia at the moment and I also would like to join her there and hike around Asia for a while. Our plan is to update this page regularly and publish pictures if we have the chance. We'll set up a page for my impressions and one for Valérie's... More to come soon.

July 11th

I'm now about to leave for Amsterdam, after six months I will see Amsterdam again and I'm very happy and worried about the way I'll feel. Tomorrow afternoon I'll be there and I won't have much time for anything else than work. I hope to meet some people and am afraid of meeting others. It can only be good though to be back in my beloved Amsterdam after such a long time. I've missed being there very much.

August 7th

I'm going to be off all of August now. I spent a few hours tweaking some silly things on these pages. I'll start planning my trip tomorrow.
