I know I'm going to get some hits from my old choir buddies, since they can't help but look at my sad page. They can't resist, I'm sure. I'll try to get something worth seeing.
Speaking of UC Davis choir, I missed the Alumni Choir reunion's performance of Verdi's Requiem. That was a shame. But, click here for my favorite picture I have from the first one.
Just so you all know, I'm going to be adding sections to this page very soon (I know, promises, promises). My former boss Erik Larsen is waiting for me to post something about him, and he's waiting for me to finally get him back for all the years he's publicly made fun me in his comic book. Soon enough, Erik. It has to be just right, or he'll berate me for not coming up with something worthy of mocking him. Sigh. I just can't win.
For those of you who don't know, Erik draws The Savage Dragon, a monthly comic book brought to you by Image Comics. He's one of the presidents of the company, so there isn't really any chance he'll get fired soon. I am Erik's Alfred E. Newman, I appear in every issue of his comic and any other comic he has influence over (except the stuff he's writing at Marvel and DC). It's all in good fun, and we're still buddies after all the names he's called me. I'm going to try to list everything I've ever been called, that's good for a laugh or two, especially if you know me. He actually let me write the introduction to one of his hardbacks. Of course, I haven't seen it yet...
One of my claims to fame (okay, my only one) is I've been a terrorist in an issue of Superman. It's true. Karl Kesel, the writer of Superman, put me in as one of the characters because he helped Erik make fun of me and really liked it. Thanks Karl...I think.

In case you didn't know, I'm very fond of my family. I'm very close to my sister and I think my nieces and nephew (soon to be plural!) are the absolute cutest and smartest children on the face of the earth.
Peripheral Stuff:
Car: 1992 Subaru SVX, green. This car has been a nightmare. I thought that my 1980 Datsun 510 was bad. Well, this car is a lot more comfortable, fast and fun to drive, but I've had some serious problems. Add to that, it's expensive to insure and I have to use at least midgrade gas. Live and learn.
College: The University of California at Davis, go Aggies! Amazingly enough, I actually have my degree now. I'll be posting a jpeg of it if I get around to it someday...
Computer: A not-so smokin' Compaq Presario 1675 laptop. It was great when I bought it, now playing new games gets a little dicey.
Hobbies and activities: Photography, scuba diving, going to the opera, singing, cooking, spending time with friends and family, fooling around on the computer, guitar playing, watching movies, listening to all sorts of music, pressing wine, and most of all, learning new things!
Recent News:
June 24, 2004: Wow...I can't believe it's been so long since I've done anything on this site. Well, first good bit of news, I have a new job. I'm working for New Vine Logistics and my job...well, it's changing. I'll get back to you on that one.
December 11, 2002: As I mentioned above, we just had the UC Davis Alumni Chorus weekend to have an inaugural holiday concert at the new Mondavi center...or something like that. What a blast! I can hardly wait until the next time we all get together, June 2004, to do the Verdi Requiem.
We just bottled our first vintage of Pinot Noir (2001) and we're making our first ever zinfandel. Sorry, the pinot won't be ready to drink for another year at least, but if you're good, you might get a bottle. It would start with asking me for a bottle.
The zinfandel should be rather tasty, and I'll be curious to see how it comes out. However, our 2000 cabernet is starting to shape up quite nicely, and if you were so lucky to get one, I'd say it's just about ready to think about drinking. If you do drink it, give it lots of air and have it with some red meat.
