This 1100 Sq. Ft. leased Office houses the VOA Affiliate President, Accountant, Accounting Assistant, Administrative Assistant, Development Director and Development Officer.

Affiliate Management:

The National Office provides overall guidance to each of Volunteers of America's 48 local Affiliates. Volunteers of America (VOA) offers Human Service Programs in the following areas: ELDERLY, YOUTH, FAMILIES, CORRECTIONS and HOMELESS. Refer to the National Headquarters page at this web site for more details. The VOA affiliate President attends National meetings and reports on affiliate activities. A local Board of Directors has primary responsibility for governing each affiliate. The board currently consists of independent business owners and volunteers many of whom are sponsored by their company through Business Volunteers Unlimited located in Cleveland, Ohio. Many of Ohio's outstanding companies belong to and support this organization. The board is responsible for developing the strategic plan, approving the annual budget, major expenditures and overseeing affiliate activities throughout the year. The number of members on the board ranges between 12 and 15 and meets at least quarterly. The board has also established 6 committees to closely monitor affiliate performance. They are the Executive, Finance, Marketing and Public Relations, Nominating, Property and Resource Development committee's which meet between full board meetings.
