hanging and flogging
at the grassmarket, edinburgh

artists and the public are invited to the forest cafe, 9 west port, grassmarket, edinburgh for an impromptu open submission art show.

we will be hanging and flogging contemporary art from 12 noon on sunday 31 march, so feel free to bring your art work, and come and take in the spectacle, buy or just browse, as we create an exhibition in one day.

all variety/media of wall mounted work will be shown. work should be around 1ft square or less as space may be limited. videos and super8 films are also welcome. basic materials for hanging will be supplied (screws, hammers, nails, ladders, etc.) but please bring any unusual materials needed to hang your work. work will be shown until sunday 28 april. see you there!

'....a series of public art works offering an alternative tour of the city and the festival....'

.the edinburgh festival brings with it an array of advertising: through bill posters and flyers that cover the cities walls, doorways  and public spaces. for this project three sixty arts invited eleven artists to create one piece of artwork each to be turned into a poster and put up at a site of their choice.
