The year is 2026. America has emerged from the Second Space Race as the unofficial winner, launching the first of the Phoenix Missions: NASA’s attempt to establish a permanent American presence on the Moon.
The other major world power, the Hawaiian Empire, has also launched a mission to colonize the Moon but sends soldiers, not scientists.
The nations of the world are squabbling over dwindling resources and limited space. The Empire has begun a campaign of world domination, the result of which is World War Three. In the initial stages of the global conflict, the American Lunar colonists discover the truth about the existence of extra-terrestrials. Earth is pulled into an alien civil war---unwilling to get involved and unable to defend itself.
Earth Defiant takes the reader on a roller-coaster ride of action, adventure, and intrigue at every turn. The gripping story takes the reader from military bases in Colorado to the Kennedy Space Center, Earth orbit, and the Moon, Rooted in the hard science of space-flight and armed with a detailed knowledge of the workings of NASA, the novel is a realistic and plausible vision of the near future.
Abductions by aliens are on the rise and scientists are at a loss to explain the phenomenon that gained so much attention in the latter half of the 20th Century. Paramilitary groups are forming to combat the alleged alien threat to personal security. The major governments of the world are involved in alien affairs so deeply that only when invasion is threatened can the truth at long last be told---only the truth will unify the planet to resistance.
The cast of characters is encompassing, from Kansas farmers, the top Military Brass, Astronauts and aliens of more than one species. The action is gripping but most importantly, realistic. The main characters of the story, Astronaut and Air Force Colonel Alan Russell and his second in command, Astronaut and Air Force Lieutenant Colonel Frank Connors must defeat the Imperial presence on the Moon and become ambassadors to the aliens: known only as the Anstarians.
The Anstarians are racing against time as they attempt to evade capture by their war-monger brethren, the Warriors. The mysterious Warriors, Anstarians who live for battle and conquest, will stop at nothing to capture the traitorous pacifist Anstarians. Nothing of the peace-loving scientist Anstarians and nothing of Earth will remain if the nations of Earth cannot find a way to unite in the common interest of survival of the human species.
The saga begins with Earth Defiant, Book One of the Grand Crusade Trilogy, the story of mankind’s imminent future.
