The Boneyard
The Boneyard is full of decay.
The decay of life and enternity
The decay of stone and Earth
The decay of wood and names
Flesh has gone to dust
Wood has been ground to dust
To the world it is lost
Forgotten to all but a few
Rare in recent memory it remains
No one is there but distant realitives
The only kindness it recieves
Is the gentle Sun's rays
That come through the trees to play
The Rays filter through the leaves
Leaving shadow and light among the green
They dance and swing to show they care
Over stones broken and weathered
Their Idenites forgotten by the living
Their names stolen by time.
Stones have crumbled and toppled
All who lay here lived in an era of harshness and sorrow
A time of much pain and death
Children are lain down before their time
Small stones for them remain
Stones to commerate a life un-lived.
But here even death has died
Enternity is ending
Soon Time will take it all
Time is greedy
Ever taking Plants, Stone, Flesh and Bone
It comes and leaves nothing untouched
It robs us of many things
