Blind Contour Drawings
Blind Contours are done with a pen on paper while looking at the model and not looking at the paper. The idea is to draw slowly and let your hand move in coordination with your eye. In a modified blind contour drawing you may from time to time readjust your pen by taking a quick look at the paper, but you never draw while looking at the paper, always while looking at the model.

The surprise is in looking at the finished work and seeing what you have just created.

Brush Drawings

I start my brush drawings by creating a quick gesture drawing and a modified contour drawing . I then using a brush look for the lights and darks painting in the darks with black ink.

Intaglio Prints

Intaglio printing is a new process for me, and I am experimenting with style. Intaglio printing is a process where by a groove is made in a metal plate either with a drypoint tool or by etching the plate with acid. The plate is run through a press transferring the ink from the plate onto paper.

This page includes drypoint, etchings and aquatint.

Relief Prints

Relief printings is done by carving into linoleum blocks. This is a new process for me.
