Busy, Busy, Busy

It's been a few days, hasn't it? And for that, I apologize. Work has really made me tired, coupled with a day or two of depression and boredom, which seemingly go hand and hand. So sorry I haven't posted in a few, but "real life" was beckoning....

Dreams

And totally not speaking of "real life"...I had the strangest dream. It was about JFK Jr. Isn't that strange, since I really didn't really care much about him (although I was saddened by his tragic death)? In my dream, he was so happy, and he was a very good friend that I had just met (if that makes any sense). Gorgeous as all hell, baby. And the only thing I remember saying to him was, "I bet you really like New England Clam Chowder, huh?" And he laughed and said that he hated it. Weird, huh? It was not the strangest dream I ever had, but it really stuck with me all day. I was having flashbacks to it, for the love of God! It was like I was some Vet or something...except for my flashbacks were utterly stupid (not to mention fake) and not induced by a traumatic circumstance.

Floyd

This is just my opinion...but I think I know why Hurricane Floyd is so destructive and why it is venting its rage on the southeast U.S. The reason is simple: its name is Floyd. I mean, seriously...if I was named Floyd in the year of our Lord 1999, I would be pissed too. I'd be churning those huge waves and destroying everything in my path too. I can't think of a decent male name that starts with "F," now that I think about it. Floyd was cursed to begin with, I'm guessing.

Seriously, though...I don't pray too often, but I am for the people and for the preservation of the Southern coast. There's so much beautiful coastline in Georgia and Florida...take Savannah, for instance. Beautiful, beautiful place. Very historic. Just the thought of what this hurricane could ruin just boggles my mind and scares the hell out of me.

I'm really tired for some odd reason...think I'll hit the sack early tonight. I'm starting to sound like my parents...saying "hit the sack." Maybe it is time to go to sleep...that sounds better, doesn't it? In any case, good night!
