In Memory
of my dad,
Lt. Col. Ralph Lowell Reed
June 16, 1928-Dec. 29, 1998

Oh let me tell you about my dad. He’s the best Marine they ever had. One year ago today, your life on earth ended. Only to leave us with hearts yet to be mended. We miss you so much that it’s hard to describe. The void that you left can never be derived. This past year has brought a lot of things to change. Our lives and habits only to rearrange.
The life you are living now in Heaven, is one that we are waiting to see, Linda, Sandi, Debbie and Kevin, even miss you as much as me.
We miss your songs, from Waltzing Matilda to Found a Peanut. No one sings them like you and I mean it.
To our lives you’ve had a front seat. This past year I don’t want to repeat. Two granddaughters were wed, two more were off to college, the little ones having bumps on the head. With sadness to say, their Grandpa was not there. He is in Heaven sitting with a lion and a bear.
The Holidays are very hard here, with every carol sung there is always a tear. My joy is knowing that someday soon, we will be together again this side of the moon.
Lord Jesus, please make this easy, missing him is like a storm  that’s breezy.
When I think of my daddy I never get bored. I remember; John Wayne, silly songs, the winks, his love for the Lord.
As I sit here and remember all the things about you, no matter what this world has, even in a whirl.
No one loves you and misses you more than me, Daddy’s Little Girl .
I love you and miss you dad, Semper Fi,
Karla
