He married Debbie Lucinda Browning in Bradford Co, FL, August 6, 1905. Debbie was born in Raiford, Bradford Co, FL June 7, 1888. She was the daughter of Arthur Wright Browning and Matilda Nichols. Debbie died January 24, 1958 in Raiford, Bradford Co, FL, at 69 years of age. Her body was interred in Sapp Cem, Raiford, FL.

John Rance Dowling and Debbie Lucinda Browning had the following children:

3 ii. Debbie Lucinda Dowling was born in Raiford, Union Co, FL September 2, 1928. She married William Randolph Hunnicutt in Woodbine, GA, April 1, 1954. William was born in GA January 22, 1923. He resides in Raiford, Union Co, FL. (See William Randolph Hunnicutt for the continuation of this line.)
