There you are, 
I know that touch
That calming feeling.

You've been here before
I saw you at the birth
A warm face to help me into 
This world.

Then again I felt your hand,
It was you who grabbed me 
Before I fell.
You let me know I'd be safe.

You were there when I felt alone.
I grew up fast...too fast
Yet I knew at my worst times
You were here.

Just when the pain comes
You are there to protect me
Sheild me from the hurt.

Though I may never have seen
Your face I know your touch.
You're always watching over me.

And though I am grown I feel now
I need you more than ever,
So please stay here a little longer
Hold on to me tight.
