my life began to change

I bathed in your warmth
and was consumed by your thoughtfulness,
abounding in size
changing in form.
Your caring embraced me
protecting me from the outside world,
encased in love and friendship so sweet,
so new, transforming my existence.
Finally emerging as my new self
embellished with your special gift.
A gift of new found freedom blossoming.
What miracle is this I see?
A pair of wings so immense
I am blinded by their glory,
colored by love, guided by friendship
Metamorphosis.
