Welcome to Jürgen's Home Page Version 2

Jürgen Teutsch

Welcome to the home page of Jürgen Teutsch! You are on the safe site (pun intended). When I literally found the motto for my new personal web portal on the streets of Toronto, I didn't even consider it to be a part of this new web presentation.

Yet, the shoe fits. This site is about safety and control indeed: control of web contents through a personal collection of essential web links (a helpful tool when on the road); safety and control of air traffic, which is part of my daily routine; and finally safe and easily controllable web design.

Above that there will be a few personal notes on my favourite hobbies, such as travelling and photography, and the all-important links to my Web 2.0 activties. This incorporates web-based communities that are generally perceived as the second generation of the web, such as facebook and MySpace. A lot of time and effort must be spent to keep up with the latest developments in this area - although I prefer to keep it to a limit for the sake of friends and family. Nevertheless, the final attempt to stay on top of it all resulted in a major update of my home page.

With the help of some internet resources, which I have added to my collection of links, I managed to design a cutting-edge, safe and easy-to-use, (mostly) frameless (Yahoo! ads are put in a frame of their own), fluid, and W3C-compliant website. The design will mainly be based on two technologies which I already used on the old site (albeit with less effectiveness): CSS and JavaScript. I decided that such designs offer much freedom and excellent control of both contents and layout... and if you find this assumption ridiculous, please bear in mind that I'm a hobbyist.

So, let's tarry on the safe side for just a bit. Enjoy the visit!
