Selections with the Wand

Selections can also be created by using the magic wand as below. However this technique only works well with images containing large areas of solid color or are bordered with a solid color due to the fact the wand only selects pixels of exactly the same color, thus it does not lend itself to scanned photos etc.

	Select the MAGIC WAND tool from the tool palette.
	Click within a solid colored area to create a selection.
	To create a selection from a multicolored image click within one color.
	Holding the SHIFT key down click within the next area to form another selection, if they abut one another they will merge into a single selection.
