The Guy Next Door...

guy_who.jpg (6328 bytes)Nope, I am not one of those you really might be expecting. I  am nothing to be compared to your knight in shining armor or to a celebrated movie idol or to any hunk that you liked best! I'm just a simple jerky guy as you may get to know me all along the way. Any story or hearsay that you've heard about me entitles you to your own opinion (anyway, I'm sure, one in a million chance that you've got one!).

For a while, I have been too realistic to detail the established facts and realities of my life. For you to have something to tinker who really am, I have few facts formulated:

I was raised by a simple and modest family in an urban place located to what they called the gateway to the famous 8th Wonders of the World, -the Nueva Vizcaya
My boyhoood to teenage life was something I can humbly say "I grew up like most of those new kids on the block".
Through a scholarship grant sponsored by our goverment, I spent some 5 rigorous years in a university (Saint Mary's Univ., 1985~90) where I have earned a degree in Civil Engineering. Passed the C.E. Board Licensure on that same year.
For now and for the rest of my life, I'm tracking my way how I can be more useable to mother earth.

My Way...

myfoot.gif (23097 bytes) And did it my way! Really so good to hear that piece from the great performer!

Oh no, no, no! You think I'm as old as him!

Anyone who's not in the right track? Well, not me. I may be slow to where I am leading but I'm doing it right. Too fast making your way to the top, without making a solid scaffold of your ladder may turn you stumbling down in the end.

Days of my life is so fascinating, and to relate you on my track, I can say, only a few years back that it has began. You can be my critic now as I am making my story. Do judge me by your opinion after if I'm on my right way or not.

Late of year 1990 (after taking my CE board) when I've landed  my first major job in a construction company, the same year when a devastating earthquake hit the northern part our country. With the aftermath of this destructible phenomena, I found myself going to far-flung places in my own native province dealing with rehabilitation of roads and school buildings being funded by the government. As I'm struggling to straighten my path, and fulfilling a  wish from my old popsie, I took a place in a teaching institution (my grandpa wanted me to be a teacher). Gosh, I found out I can be a good instructor to those wildly students like I am when I used to be. It took me two years pioneering with one of the branches of AMA-CLC, one of the internationally known computer school based in PI. It is in that school where I became like you are now, a "mouse potato" so they say.

It was in the quarter of the year 1995 when I stepped out and let new budding graduates of the schoool took their turn one step to reality so that they can also build their own way to success. From this turn of events in my life, I can say I may have step one foot behind but I have leapt two step forward leading my way. And to where I am now, I am far, far away to my native land, the Philippines. On Location, I'll gonna' take you to a more giggling facts that reaffirms where I was and where I am to in the next millenium.

On Location...

peopl_gl.gif (19649 bytes)Where in the world can you find me now?

It was 1995 when I'm in the middle of a vast area of desert land. I'm a  sojourner with smitten soul craving in this place. I was located before in  State of Qatar, so small and placid place yet so rich in oil and gas. A booming country with her own sweet beauty.

I worked there under two major construction companies, the Toyo Engineering Corp. (Japan) and Shinwha Engineering Co. (S. Korea). Both companies went hand in hand here for the development of one of the largest processing plant of natural gas in the world, the Qatargas. We're in the upstream portion of the said project where raw gas materials is extracted in the middle of the sea and received through big sealine pipes then proces sed.

Millenium! well, I'm now continuing my sojourn and that time I was in Malaysia, a neighbor of my own native land, the Philippines. I came here as an expatriate last 1998 up to 2000, and still working with Toyo Engineering Corp. (Japan) as seconded by EEI Corporation (Phils). Malaysia is a place where people with different race stand together to propel their country to be one of the prominent country among S.E. asians. A mixed race of pure malays, chineses and indians who may speak different language but understand each other through one language called "Bahasa Malaysia"."

Year 2002~July '03, I was in Saudi Arabia. . Still with Toyo Engineering Corp (Japan). I felt I was like in Qatar when I landed there. Know why? It's for the reason that these countries in middle east got a very, very, verrrrrrryyyyyy hot weather!!!

And then after that stint in Saudi Arabia of the same year, I wandered in the land of the rising sun,Japan!. . Finally, I am at home office, with Toyo Engineering Corp. in Akanehama, Narashino-shi, Chiba-ken(Japan). As a "gaijin" as the locals in Japan refer to a foreigner, I feel great staying there. Very nice people around, met a wonderful friend, my hero.... who likes to bring me to cool places! I just love staying in Japan!

In greece, there is Acropolis of Athens, and in Iran, there is Persepolis. It is one of the proud tourist place of Iran that I have seen and will be in my memory. Yes, during my course in Japan, I was assigned by Toyo Engineering Corp. to form part on the construction of Onshore Gas Field Development Phases 6,7 & 8 which is located in Bandar Assaluyeh, I had my 18 months of life struggle in that very wonderful place.

Now, rediscovering Japan, I am back to Toyo Engineering Corp., Home Office. I really feel great having this chance to broaden my experience to where I am now.

...working overseas seems to be so difficult especially when you're alone... but I'm into it as part of the years refining my goal.
