This is a very nice web page. Took me awhile to find it. I had to change search engine to find it until I change to Lycos. Nice pictures they are lovely also Fisaga. Your right the Slow breeze can turn into a hurricane. Robert is like that now. When he was born he was very sleepy. He laid there in bed and looked around but sleeps most of the time. Just looking at the pictures really makes me homesick. I was in Samoa last month for my sister's funeral and notice how much tutuila has changed over the years. I left home in 1987 and 11 years later I came home to find how different it is. It seems sm ll. Maybe its because the population has grown. Despite all the changes, home will always be home, and I miss it very much. Well, maybe someday I will come home to stay. Anyhow, this page is great, love the pics. Keep it up! Soifua.

Sorry for the part-message earlier. Just before I had to leave for a Jr. Sailing activity to administer at a local lake, I found your home page. Joy Hayward is my sisters name. When I read my message this evening, I realized that I had failed to mentio her last name. Perhaps some of your students can find her and visit with her, if you are not able to visit with her in person. They are living on a sail boat; a Gulfstream 38 or 39 foot with a hard bimini over the cockpit. I realize there are lot of p ople on that "beautiful rock in the middle of the Pacific." I have studied the area and harbor for some years and would love to visit it some time. Thanks again for the opportunity to communicate with someone in Paradise.

We have family visiting Pago Pago on a "Yacht in Transit." Joy, my sister, and her two sons (Will and Chester)along with Captain Rex are staying there for a month or so to relax(?) after the long voyage on their 39 ft. sailboat. Joy sure could use a vis t from another well educated woman. Apparently she is working at a Mexican resturant there somewhere in Pago Pago to help build the next cruising kitty. I would appreciate it if in your busy schedule if you could look her up and talk with her for a litt e while. She sounded like she needs a little inspiration. She has a teaching degree, obtained in Oklahoma, is very talented in music and sings like a bird. The two boys, my nephews, are probly enjoying the voyage more than anyone. They are now in school there and have been learning the culture. You have a great home page, we plan to make one soon. As reference, I have just (about two months ago) started a book (fiction) and it has several segments about Pago Pago. I am using a software called "Story Builder" to help me along the way. Although I have written in the past, it has been a very long time since I was very serious about it. If you can find these guys, great! I believe they are only planning to be in Pago Pago for a few weeks. If not, I have enjoyed your page and wish you all that you wish for! With kindest personal regards, Don & Cindy Masingale

I am samoan but I was raised here in the mainland all my life. Last I was in Samoa was in the late 70's.. .long time huh!!! Kathleen, This site is really cool. I hope you remember me as well. I am a former ASCC student and played in the ASCC Band with you back in '90-'92. I was a memebr fo the ASCC choir and Swing Choir during those years as well. I was also a participant of 2 drama productions - "Rumbo" and "It was a dark and stormy night." I still remember you as being on of the coolest instructors from ASCC.
