Fuck a counter...who needs to know how many people visit anyway?

Message from Dave - April 15, 2007

It's me

I would get into some sort of explanation as to why I haven't updated since September, but by this point in time, I don't think too many actually give a rat's ass.

We'll call this spring cleaning and nothing more.

It is time for me to get into this site, clean it up, and resume writing in it like I used to do up until 2 or 3 years ago. What that means in terms of pages coming and/or going remains to be seen, but as of right now, I'm not planning on removing anymore sections. I may attempt to finish some of the things I've started, but I don't think I'm going to be adding anything either.

If anything, the only things I might change are overall appearance such as backgrounds, fonts, and colors.

What else I do will come as I think of it, but knowing me, it'll probably be a month before I even get back to updating again.

I know, I'm a slacker.

If I tried to get into all that's happened since I last wrote, it would get insanely wrong, you'd get bored, and then the whole thing about this site acting like a sleep aid would come horrifyingly true.

Let's just say a lot has happened, things have changed in my life, and it has been an interesting ride. If I really wanted to, I could probably write a small novel just based on the last six months of my life, but again, I'm trying to avoid putting people to sleep.

Unless you're an insomniac. Then I'm the answer to your problems.

I'm hoping to get back to writing in My Life and just posting links in my blog on MySpace with maybe a brief summary on what I wrote on this site. The simple truth is I'm more candid here than on MySpace. I take things to a more personal level and am more likely to use names than on MySpace, where things can be dicey.

Besides, on here, I have warnings posted about my policy here on what I write.

Speaking of this site further, this year marks the 10 year anniversary of this site. It's hard to believe that 10 years have passed since I first started maintaining a site, but it's true. I don't know if I'll do anything to commemorate this milestone, but to know that there are 10 years of memories up is amazing in itself.

One change in my life worth mentioning is that I've been dating a girl named Nikki for the last four and a half months. There have been ups and downs, but in the long run, I feel better about this one than anyone else I've dated. The following is a message from Nikki: he said that about the last few.hmmmm he acts like I'm illiterate and I don't have tons of time on my hands...I read his stuff.

My next entry in My Life will chronicle this and everything else going on as well.

Finally, will someone please let me know when spring's actually going to begin? Seriously, 40 degress and snow on April 15 isn't cool.

Message from Dave is updated twice monthly or as time allows. Next scheduled message is May 1, 2007.

The Purpose

The reasons behind this site are simple. I use it as a place to vent first and foremost, but it also allows people to see what goes on in the head of an average guy. The ups, the downs, and everything in between can all be found in the pages within this site as the days go by in my life.

However, this is primarily a stress release for me. I want to caution those who know me that you may find yourself mentioned in this site at some point. I'm capable and willing to write about just about anything that takes place in my life, and while sometimes it isn't always nice, I reserve the right to say what I feel. I rarely intend to hurt anyone, but words can be easily misconstrued, meaning lost, and feelings hurt because of something I said.

I reserve the right to write what I feel, change what I feel, and express what I feel in any means I find necessary.

If you feel any need to talk to me about something I wrote, it's easy to get a hold of me. Just scroll down towards the bottom to find all the contact info you might need.

Below you'll find the different sections in this site. Just click on section you want to visit.

You'll be where you want to be in an instant, and shortly thereafter, out cold after you realize just how boring my life really is.

This site may be used as a sleep aid. Do not operate heavy machinery while viewing this site. May be a choking hazard. Keep out of the reach of small children. Any additional side affects? Go fuck yourself. Just kidding, just kidding! Geez...y'all get so worked up so easily, damn...

Special Thanks

I want to thank all the online friends I've made and lost over the last several years. Even though I don't really go online to talk to people anymore, I will never forget those I talked to late into the night about everything and anything.

I want to thank the following people for specific reasons. Thanks Mike for training me and being my video game friend. You help keep me grounded. I want to thank Sarah for helping me with my confidence and for trying to make me more outgoing. You get a little carried away, but you mean well. I want to thank Megan for being a better friend than girlfriend. I haven't talked to you in months, but I suppose that's just what's meant to be. Thank you Jen for being the best friend that I never met. Thank you Jim for showing me what a sense of humor is really all about. Finally, thank you Steve for being the father that I never had. You have no idea what you've meant to me in my life.

I also want to thank my mom, cause without her, I wouldn't be where I'm at today. Part motivator, part weirdo, she's the best mom you could ask for. In addition, everyone I know has a part in what goes here, so I thank you all too.
