This page is in tribute to Princess Diana. Most of the graphics on this page link to another site somewhere that is also working for being a tribute, or trying to help there be some meaning in her tragic death.

I've been saying one thing over & over again since I first heard the news that Di was in a car accident, hours before I heard she died. This all could have been prevented with the use of one single word -

Respect

Respect for her life, Repsect for her privacy, and now, Respect for her death.
However, I must say that not only was Di killed, but two other lives were taken from this earth before their time. Henri Paul, the driver; and Dodi Fayed; neither of whom I know much about, had their lives taken as well.

It has come out that the driver was drinking. Yes, he was above the legal limit for blood-alcohol, and he was speeding, but he was trying to get away from paparazzi. The blame here still, in part, lies with them.

Diana, the 'people's princess'; the 'Queen of Hearts', left behind two young sons. They meant the world to her, as she said recently, sadly ironic that it was while pleading with the British paparazzi to leave her alone, that she would have left England for a more peaceful life, if not for her sons.

Something positive must come out of this tragedy. The media in general, but especially the paparazzi need to realize that this is not just something that happened that can be brushed aside. All people of celebrity status have horror stories of being hounded by these people looking for "that one perfect shot," however none are quite as stiring, upsetting, and permenent as what happened in Paris.

Knowing almost nothing of Dodi Fayed, other than that he made wonderful movies, and he made Diana happy, and knowing nothing of Henri Paul, all I can say is that their families, friends and loved ones lost beautiful souls, as the did the world, both in them and in Lady Di. Rest well dear Diana. Rest well Dodi and Henri, the companions who travel with her on the journey from this earth. Your lights here were extingushed much too soon, but they shall shine on in the hearts of the people who loved you. Be blessed, as you blessed others with your lives. All that's left is the hope that your death's will not be completly in vain.
