The Solaris x86 Driver Update is the mechanism for distributing new device drivers and video support to our customers.
***NOTE*** Driver Update 11 has been verified with both Solaris 2.5 and Solaris 2.5.1.

*** Important notice for Solaris x86 Driver Update 11 Users ***
Due to the increased distribution media space requirements for Driver Update 11 (and future driver updates) we have started compressing data on driver update diskettes. Although this change is completely transparent when you install Driver Update 11 from diskettes, users attempting a network installation will need to apply a patch to their install server.
If a Solaris server has or will have Solaris 2.5 or Solaris 2.5.1 x86 netinstall or diskless clients, you must install an updated inetboot in several places on those Solaris netinstall or diskless servers. Please refer to Solaris 2.5/2.5.1 x86 Driver Update 11 Guide, page 13 for details.
